John G. Foos

Mr. Foos was Chief Financial Officer of Independence Blue Cross from 1989 until his retirement in the fall of 2008. Previously he was a partner with the public accounting firm of KPMG LLP. Mr. Foos serves on the Board of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of South Carolina, serving as Chair of the Audit Committee. He also serves on the Board of Alleghany Corporation, a NYSE listed company serving on the Audit and Nominating and Governance Committees. More recently he was asked to serve on the Board of HAI Group, an insurance and financial services company serving the public housing industry in 48 states, serving on the Finance and Underwriting Committees. Mr. Foos joined the Board in 1991.
