Chris Hodges

Mr. Hodges was founder and president of Emerald Housing Management, LLC and Emerald Housing Partners, LLC until his retirement in 2019. The firms specialized in the management and development of affordable housing communities throughout the Southeast and Midwest. He was previously a founding partner of Lawler Wood Housing, LLC, and began his career as a commercial real estate appraiser in 1983. Mr. Hodges graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Tennessee in 1982 and obtained a Master's degree in Theology from Lipscomb University in 2018. He has served on boards of several affordable housing and charitable organizations and is the founder of Global Schools for Change, a not-for-profit organization involved in the development and support of schools in underserved areas of Bangladesh. Mr. Hodges joined the HutsonWood Board in 2023.
