Jo Anne Corbitt

Director

Ms. Corbitt spent her entire career in the property management business before retiring in early 2020. Since 2001, she has been Director/Vice President of Property Management for The Mathews Company, LLC, a diversified real estate group in Nashville (now Colliers International). Previous employment includes Director of Property Management for Cumberland Advisors, LLC, President of Alliance Commercial Real Estate Services, Inc., and other property management roles in Nashville. Ms. Corbitt is a Certified Property Manager® as designated by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). Her involvement with IREM on both a local and national basis spans her property management career. She served that organization as its National President in 1997. She has been a national faculty member for many years, and continues as a faculty trainer. She received IREM’s highest honor for a real estate trainer in 2006 when she was presented with the “Lloyd D. Hanford Distinguished Faculty Award.” She has made presentations regarding the property management industry and techniques in Russia, Poland, Spain, Ireland, China, Singapore, Italy and Japan. Ms. Corbitt continues her teaching and involvement in IREM and was honored with the “J. Wallace Paletou Award” in 2013 for her use of property management in the betterment of her community. She has served in leadership capacities of numerous local trade and civic endeavors and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Nashville and Tennessee Apartment Associations and The Housing Fund. Ms. Corbitt joined the Board in 2011.
